Description

This handmade scrap metal pickup truck sculpture turns reclaimed workshop offcuts into a one-off display piece with plenty of industrial character.

The body and pickup bed are formed from welded box section. Cut tube and exhaust-pipe offcuts create the oversized wheels, while the open bonnet reveals an engine assembled from spark plugs, a valve spring and other small reclaimed components.

Built from reclaimed workshop materials

Every section shows something from the material’s previous life. Welds, markings, small areas of pitting and traces of surface rust are part of the finished appearance rather than factory-perfect flaws.

The sculpture has been protected with clear lacquer to help preserve the raw-metal finish. It is intended for indoor display on a desk, shelf or suitable cabinet. Keeping it dry will help maintain the coating and appearance.
