Make Memories is a one-off scrap metal camera sculpture. It has been handmade from reclaimed automotive parts and salvaged steel.

Built from reclaimed automotive parts

Roller chain forms the outline of the camera body. Springs, gears, bearings and other reclaimed components fill the centre.

Every part has marks and textures from its previous life. These details give the sculpture its individual industrial character.

Interactive camera details

The large bearing at the front creates the camera lens. It also spins by hand, which mimics the movement of a camera focusing ring.

A viewing aperture runs through the top of the sculpture. You can look through it as though you are framing a photograph.

A genuine one-off sculpture

This is the only camera made in this exact arrangement. More camera sculptures may be created in the future. However, the reclaimed components mean that no two will ever be identical.
