These beautiful roses were originally a valentines day build. The first batch was made using the remains of an old green house frame. The frame had been painted in a dark green colour that made a right mess of the workshop after stripping it off with a polycarbonate disc on the grinder. You could say I looked like a large green smurf afterwards.
Although these have a relatively simple design and build process, they can prove to be a bit fiddly to get the petals just right.
The finished piece will bring a smile to anyone that receives them as a gift.
I have plans in place to build one that is 10x the size. It is already proving a challenge even in the design stage but be sure to keep and eye out for the finished product.
