Description
The Eternal Steel Lily is a handmade metal flower created from reclaimed sheet steel. Every petal and leaf is cut, shaped and formed individually in our Lancashire workshop.
Handmade details
The curved petals form the open lily head, while reclaimed bicycle spokes create the central stamens. The leaves and stem are also shaped by hand. As a result, every lily has its own natural curves and character.
Choose your finish
- Raw Steel Appearance: the natural silver-grey character of the steel, protected with clear lacquer.
- Heat Treated: carefully heated to create naturally varying blue, purple, bronze and gold tones, then protected with clear lacquer.
The heat-treated colours develop naturally. Therefore, the exact tones and patterns will vary between flowers.
Made in limited numbers
Only a limited number of lilies are handmade each week. We aim to keep them in stock, although availability can change depending on demand. Each flower remains individual because it is formed by hand.
Ready to display
The lily arrives fully formed and ready to display. It looks particularly effective in a small metal bucket filled with sand or in a sturdy jar. Most of the weight sits in the flower head, so choose a stable container.
Size and care
- Overall height: approximately 27–30 cm
- Overall width: approximately 14 cm
- Estimated weight: approximately 0.2 kg
The Eternal Steel Lily is designed mainly for indoor display. It may be displayed outside, but the clear lacquer will weather over time. The steel can eventually rust unless the protective coating is maintained and reapplied.
Variations in height, shape, leaf position, colouring and surface character are expected because every lily is individually handmade.
