After collecting a large amount of old heavy duty bolts, it took a while to figure out how I was going to use them.
I kept having the idea to build a tower but I was always unsure on what to do with it. A tower of heavy duty bolts would be a bit of an extreme paper weight. Then it hit me, it would make an amazing table leg, but what to use for the other legs.
It has to be spanners, I don’t think anything else would be more fitting. Next job was to find two spanners that matched in height exactly.
Luckily I managed to find a couple of sets to choose from. I decided to pick for the final height of the table instead of the style of spanner.
Now to start the build, little did I know it would take me hours to piece together all the bolts. Much longer then I initially thought. It was like a jigsaw that you designed as you went.
Once finally finished it was time to clean all the rust left on the bolts. Although after a lot of work it still had a dull appearance due to the age of the bolts. Time for the lacquer to be applied. On the first pass it completely changed the appearance to how I imagined it and I knew id made the right decision. The bolts now have a great shine that completes the finish for this table. This is definitely a one of a kind build.

The final measurements are L-1250mm W-780mm H-480mm
