This skeleton is the 4th skeleton build I’ve undertaken.
This style of builds all started by making a single hand for my personal skeleton (named uncle bob) that lives in the Rebuild workshop.
At the time I was building a variety of bonnet props for the car enthusiast scene and thought it would be a great design to have an arm holding the bonnet open. After the test fit, it did look very cool but I had a little voice telling me I should keep going and build a complete skeleton.

After a lot of work building uncle bob my first skeleton design, I decided to build a child sized skeleton.
I like to build them as life size as possible so my when it came to building the head, my head was a bit too big to get the correct dimensions for a child size head. After a very strange phone call to a friend, I had the measurements of his youngest sons head which helped me finish the build. I used much thinner bolts to shape the head on this build which is a decision I still use to this day. Check out the build video for the head here.

I thought the next build would be a bit different and have the skeleton coming out of a wall. To achieve this I only built the top half of the skeleton although keeping it to a life size scale.  I decided to sandblast each piece during this process so that the finished build would have a light grey colour to it. After mounting the skeleton to a sheet of metal, it was just how I imagined it. The sandblasted process gave it a very clean finish what looked great hanging on the wall.

After seeing the sandblasted finish on the previous build I wanted to see how it would look with a whole life size skeleton. To make this a unique build I decided to have the skeleton sat down on his own little stool.
The sandblast technique has definitely extended the whole build process by quite some time but the finish is most definitely worth the extra work.

I wanted each full skeleton to have some form of use instead of just a piece of art that just hangs around. To do this I have positioned one if not both hand out so that they can be used as a very extravagant if not small shelf.
