After coming across a large amount of vintage suitcases and playing around with a few different ideas on how to use them. I came to the conclusion that they would make a great drawer. I found two that measured very similar and decided they would look great in a little set of drawers together.  Although not identical in size I knew they would definitely be a unique piece that would fit into most bedroom designs.

After removing the tops and building them each a base frame, they just needed a top.
I’ve used old scaffolding boards in a lot of my builds and I just love the finish after a sanding and coat of wax. I decided to go with a rugger brown finish that works perfectly with the blue and light brown colours of the drawers.

With the base frames being fabricated using 50×50 box section they are very strong which also gives them a great use as a small stool if needed.
